What’s my background?

Over the last twenty years I have recruited and developed thousands of people for some of the U.K.’s biggest names, as Talent Manager for the UK&I with HJ Heinz and as Head of Leadership and Culture with Asda. My roles have encompassed all aspects of talent management, recruitment, employee engagement and leadership development for up to 175,000 colleagues and 20,000 leaders and managers in the U.K. with a global Director and Top Talent remit.

In the university sphere, I also spent a number of years working in Sheffield Hallam University and sat on multiple careers advisory bodies including; University of Liverpool, University of Sheffield, University of Cambridge and University of Birmingham. Since establishing Gradconsult in 2012, my experience has broadened further to include hundreds of SME and corporate clients across all sectors, working with over 60% of the UK's universities and an increasingly European and global client reach. I was a Director with the Institute of Student Employers for six years, as was delighted in 2020 to be made a Fellow of the Institute. I’ve also sat on the AGCAS board, been appointed by both ISE and AGCAS to train their members and have both judged and won various national awards for my work.
