Erin Quigley
Project Coordinator

What’s my background?

I did my undergraduate degree in Psychology and my masters in Occupational Psychology at the University of Nottingham where I was also the President and Welfare Officer in the Irish Society and a Psychology peer mentor.

Before moving to university, I grew up in the Middle East in Dubai and Qatar where I founded a charity where we funded new school builds in Nepal and Sri Lanka over 4 years. I love to travel and have been to over 35 countries! I also love hiking and climbed Kilimanjaro when I was 17.

What do I do at Gradconsult?

My role at Gradconsult is the Project Coordinator on the RISE program where I liaise with small and medium enterprises in the Sheffield City Region and help them in their process of graduate recruitment. It is fantastic to be able to support students gain employment in the region and support them at the start of their careers, as well as show businesses the value of employing a graduate. I also help to deliver employability and development workshops for graduates or current students in universities across the UK and Ireland, such as the National College of Ireland, Leeds Beckett University and the University of Kent.

I have worked with Student Minds to create content on the new experience graduates are facing of finding a job during the pandemic, and have also supported Louise in working on the recruitment programme for LumiraDx.

Working at Gradconsult has offered me a wide range of opportunities to develop my skills and take responsibility for many different projects. It is such a rewarding experience to see graduates applying for jobs through RISE who then go onto succeed in their fields and grow the businesses in the region.
