What’s my background?
I have over twenty years global, strategic, leadership experience in early careers (graduate, student and apprentice) attraction, resourcing and development– where I have implemented various award-winning (25 awards at last count) initiatives. I have a particular interest in diversity and social mobility. I am a regular speaker and panellist at external HR conferences and events and have judged many industry awards.
Before joining Gradconsult I worked within the global investment banking and financial services industry with companies such as Merrill Lynch and Barclays, where I was Group Head of Graduate Resourcing and Development. But before that I have also worked in Professional Services, Public Sector, Retail, Transport, and Third Sector organisations.
I am currently studying for my Doctorate with the University of Southampton, and am researching graduate development and the future world of work. I am a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a Board Trustee of the Ventnor Botanical Gardens on the Isle of Wight and am a member of the Bridge Group’s Rural and Coastal disadvantage working group. I have sat on many university advisory boards and have been a school governor for challenged schools under special measures.
What do I do at Gradconsult?
I lead a wide range of employer and university consultancy projects across industries and sectors. Most of my projects are specific to the client, cutting across the life cycle of early careers recruitment and development, as well as consulting on topics like the future world of work and the impact on graduates. As Director I also help with the day to day running of the business.
