Leadership and culture

As the Gradconsult team have grown, so has the scope and nature of our work! Borne from great relationships and client delivery in the early career and graduate space, clients have increasingly asked us to bring our experience, expertise, creativity and trademark memorable delivery to a broader audience. Our scope of work includes the full employee lifecycle from attraction to retention, and from early careers to Chief Executives and boards. Our projects encompass culture, employer brand, values, leadership/management development, coaching, development programmes (from early career to top/global talent), employee engagement, succession planning and people strategy.

Our leadership, culture and coaching experience comes from previous broad strategic leadership roles (our MD Rebecca Fielding was the Head of Leadership and Culture for Asda and Talent Manager for HJ Heinz alone) however almost all of our senior consultants are qualified to level 6 (Undergraduate degree) or level 7 (Post-graduate) in a relevant subject or chartered qualification such as CIPD, Postgraduate Coaching and Mentoring, Masters in HR Management or equivalent.

Across the team, and our wider associate pool, we are accredited in all of the most widely used leadership development tools such as MBTI, NLP, SDI, Strengthscope, Thomas-Kilman, 360 and Time to Think. One of our Directors, Jane Clark, is also currently undertaking Doctoral level studies into the future world of work. This combination of extensive experience and academic insight provides our clients with access to the world’s leading-edge thinking and research around people, development and talent. 

We don’t have set products, courses, or services to ‘sell’ to employers, rather we design board content or workshops, facilitate focus groups/consultation processes, deliver coaching, conduct research, develop strategy or design and manage programmes – all curated to suit the strategic objectives, culture and budgets of our clients.

To bring this to life, here are some examples of smaller and larger pieces of work we have undertaken for employer clients in leadership and culture space:

  • Chief Executive and Director team development programme, based around a series of experiential learning challenges, real-time feedback and underpinned by coaching
  • Individual coaching for business leaders, senior leaders and career changers
