What’s my background?
Prior to joining the GC team, I’ve spent twenty years in-house supporting companies to develop, build and enhance best in class Early Career strategies and initiatives aligned to their business growth. This has given me substantial experience in, and knowledge of, a range of industries working for some of the most recognisable global brands across the corporate, public, and charitable sectors. But before that all started, I spent three years in Africa working as a Park Ranger and Overland Expedition leader. I have a BSc (Hons) Ecological Resource Management from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and currently enjoy being a minis rugby coach and Beaver Scout Leader.
What do I do at Gradconsult?
Having recently joined the business my remit as Head of Employer Partnerships is to lead our work with employers. We help you to find, recruit and develop the future talent that’s right for your business. Examples of where we can help you include:
- Refresh your selection process to improve results
- Creative ideas and methods to grow and develop your new hires
- Informing and working with senior leaders around the Early Career market
Life loves
- Family – my wife and two kids are my purpose. Enough said!
- The Garden – I’m a keen project Gardener having over the past five years built a patio, chicken run, raised veggie patch (making pickles and chutneys from the harvest)
- Fishing – course, sea and fly fishing makes no difference. If it is there to catch, I’ll have a go.
