Lonza: Early Talent Discovery Day
Gradconsult has delivered ‘Early Talent Discovery Days’ to Lonza’s placement students and graduates in 2023 and 2022, as well as a bespoke L&D programme for early career professionals. The programmes supported the early talent cohorts to explore their career opportunities at Lonza, build their networks across the organisation and develop essential skills.
The Early Talent Development day created a space for career discovery and skill development to support placement students and graduates in their role at Lonza.
The experiential learning day supported participants to:
Improve their self-awareness and self-management and appreciate the importance of these in relation to their career goals.
Develop their professional communication skills, through introduction of theories, models and application of these to their roles.
Explore career opportunities at Lonza, via a talk delivered by a member of the leadership team.
Build relationships with peers through group work, peer coaching exercises and team-building activities.
The session was rated ‘excellent’ by 93% of participants and all participants said it was ‘very effective’ or ‘effective’ for their career development at Lonza.
‘Overall this session has made me feel empowered to pursue the career that will make me feel fulfilled. It has encouraged me to think more about my strengths and the intersection of my strengths with my values to find a career I will enjoy.’
